Preparation includes the following benefits for all type returns:
- Relaxing the need to focus on the constant evolution of federal, state, and city income tax laws.
- The most current, reputable, and state-of-the-art tax software packages are used to prepare returns.
- Your return is tracked, input, prepared, and reviewed by personnel, which receive continuous professional education.
- We provide 4 copies of your returns. These copies can be paper or electronic. One copy is provided to the federal government, one copy to the state, one copy for your permanent records, and one copy is retained in our office.
- Your return is prepared following a well-defined work program.
- Your file is maintained by our office for a minimum of 5 years.
- Our office is open year-round. We are available to handle any future questions you, the federal government, or state governments might have.
- We electronically file your returns with the federal government and states as long as the returns meet the guidelines set forth in IRS Pub. 1345A.
- We sign your returns as paid preparers. Having a paid preparer has historically reduced your chance of audit. We organize the summarized information you provide.
- Your prior year return is reviewed and your prior year file is reviewed to determine if there is consistency between the filing years.
- We complete basic research necessary for preparing your returns.
- Based on the information you have provided, we will attempt to identify areas where tax planning would improve your tax picture. However, this is a preparation engagement. An engagement for tax planning would require information regarding your total financial picture.
- After a review of the information you provide us, we will contact you with questions regarding additional or clarifying information, which we feel, is necessary to save you tax or more accurately prepare the return.
